More friends for the Holy Land

For three years, we ran an integrated communications service for Friends of the Holy Land, including monthly email news, blog posts, social media posts, press releases and printed newsletters to engage and motivate their supporters.

This charity achieves a lot internationally with a very small UK office team – we were pleased to support them with the Better Story team’s expertise.

Each year, we worked with the charity to devise a 12-month communications plan that took supporters on a journey through the charity’s activities, gave them opportunities to get involved in different ways, and prepared them in advance to receive much-needed fundraising campaigns.

Campaigns placed strategically through the year were part of the big picture, building on what supporters already knew. We integrated direct mail, email and social media content for each campaign, and conceived and ran a very successful new fundraising challenge for supporters in 2021.

Better Story also improved the sign-up process for Friends of the Holy Land’s email lists, removed inactive subscribers and re-engaged hundreds of others.

The whole communications and fundraising package has resulted in raising much more income from supporters than the charity had ever done before, exceeding their targets and allowing them to grow and change many more lives in the Holy Land.

“Better Story have done a great job. They’ve raised our profile, helping to bring in new supporters and encouraging existing supporters to give more. They were a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend their work.”

– Brendan, Executive Director, Friends of the Holy Land.
